Accounting Manager Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
The Accounting Manager will prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance to senior management.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and tax reporting.
Monitor and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets.
The Accounting manager will lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and initiatives.
Manage external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure successful audit outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Manager
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the manufacturing industry preferred.
Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and standard costing.
The Accounting Manager is proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Starting Salary $85,000
