Accounting Manager
We are partnering with a pharma company who is looking for a highly motivated, proactive Accounting Manager to join their team This individual will oversee the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate has experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including purchase order management.
  • Oversee vendor process updates, invoice allocation, and cash account management.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and record bank transactions.
  • Possess strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control processes.
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures.
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage financial health effectively.
  • Ensure accuracy in financial documents and compliance with legal standards.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
  • Perform stock-based compensation calculations, manage research and development accruals and prepaids, and handle lease and debt accounting.
  • Manage routine tasks like accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.
  • Reconcile General Ledger accounts regularly.
  • Assist in preparing SEC Forms 10Q/K, including financial statement creation, footnote disclosures, and Management Discussion and Analysis.
  • Conduct variance analysis and effectively communicate findings to management and external auditors.
  • Generate monthly and ad hoc reports for executives, development teams, and management.
  • Develop and uphold internal controls within assigned areas.
  • Support internal and external testing of controls, focusing on continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • CPA is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting or finance, including management experience.
  • Experience with accounting and financial systems
  • Proficient in SOX compliance.
  • Proven leadership skills, emphasizing team motivation, process enhancement, and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
