The Role
The Director of Business Transformation supporting Paper Elimination plays a leadership role on a team that supports the reduction of paper in customer facing and back-office processes at Fidelity. Focus areas include paper checks, forms, letters and returned mail. The Director serves in a leading role in key phases of transformation and have specific responsibilities in:
- Formulating data-driven hypotheses on what drives paper-based friction.
- Preparing and presenting findings and status to the highest levels of leadership.
- Collaborating with partners across the organization to drive paper out of our internal and customer-facing processes.
- Driving the execution and measurement of paper elimination initiatives across different areas of the business.
- Researching trends that will surface compelling new ways to eliminate paper from our internal processes.
- 12+ years of business analysis, process analysis or data analysis experience, or 10+ years with Master's Degree.
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Ability to adjust to constantly evolving demands and priorities.
- Works independently but can also be a strong teammate and cultivate business and systems partner relationships.
- Analyzes and improves end-to-end business processes that drive manual transactions and paper
- Possesses an affinity for data and the ability to use business intelligence tools for data-driven decision making.
- Demonstrates great story telling skills, conveying the vision and impact of progressive ideas using data and visualization.
The Director is aligned with the Digital Business Capabilities and Transformation product area. Our mission is to eliminate customer friction and build industry leading digital financial products. We focus on capabilities such as money movement, trading, account opening, digital automation, and paper elimination.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
