Essential Functions:

  • Answer telephones in a professional manner.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, schedule new appointments / referrals and follow-up appointments.
  • Obtain all patient demographics and insurance information to input into the Practice Management system.
  • Request the necessary medical records from the referring physician.
  • Verify eligibility of patient insurance.
  • Greet patient upon arrival.
  • Scan patient insurance information.
  • Provide patients with required forms for signature.
  • Prepare Service Estimates and Patient Proposals to determine the patient's financial responsibility.
  • Counsel the patient of any financial arrangements such as deductibles, co-insurance, co-pays, or non-covered items based on the estimate generated in our electronic health record system.
  • Collect patient payments, or offer payment plan.
  • Assist in marketing our company to the skilled nursing, home health, rehab, vascular, and wound care community.
  • Ensure cleanliness of waiting area.
  • Deposit payments into appropriate bank account.
  • General office support as required.
  • Open mail and distribute to appropriate parties.
