Job Function:

Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, The Senior Financial Analyst will join an existing team which provides accounting and financial reporting support to the global Vibrantz Technologies finance organization. This individual is responsible for assisting the corporate accounting team with U.S. GAAP accounting matters. This position also plays a key role in the preparation of internal and external financial statements. Additionally, this position is responsible for monitoring critical processes and internal controls as part of the Company's internal control compliance.

Responsibilities:

Period-end Close Process

  • Lead tracking and administration of financial submissions from international locations for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare multiple journal entries, account reconciliations, and review the work of contractors.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting package and quarterly lender reporting materials.
Accounting Research and Financial Reporting
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to internal customers to support business decisions.
  • Partner across Vibrantz finance teams to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and Vibrantz's internal financial policies.
  • Research and resolve accounting inquiries including consultation with company personnel, business units and internal and external auditors.
  • Understand and implement new U.S. GAAP accounting rules, including collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and oversee the global lease portfolio. Work with the accounting manager to review lease contracts and determine technical accounting conclusions. Become a subject matter expert for the lease system tool and serve a key role in enhancing the tool for the corporate accounting group.
  • Assist the financial reporting team with monthly review of financial information and internal reporting.
  • Assist external reporting with the preparation and review of financial statements and footnotes.
Special Project and Process Owner
  • Assist with the management of outsourced accounting and finance operations in order to facilitate process efficiency through on-going and new efforts.
  • Assist with the evaluation and documentation of the internal control environment, including working with internal and external auditors related to Sarbanes-Oxley controls and documentation.
  • Participate in special projects requiring corporate accounting assistance, as necessary, such as implementation of any changes to U.S. GAAP or global accounting policies.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in senior level accounting in a private or public environment
  • Prior experience with U.S. GAAP
Preferred Experience:
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment or public accounting experience (preferably at a "Big 4" accounting firm)
  • Strong background and understanding of U.S. GAAP, including previous experience with researching, and resolving complex accounting questions.
  • Experience in a SOX environment, including responsibility for assessing effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Knowledge of EDP-oriented accounting systems, SAP Preferred
  • Advanced computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point software applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high degree of accuracy.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic and with a variety of internal and external clients in a consultative role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills


Travel Requirements: Willing to travel as needed (10%) primarily in the USA to various company locations.
