The Senior Financial Analyst - Global Cost Accounting position is a key member of the Enterprise Finance team at The Sherwin-Williams Company. This role is responsible for variance allocation of North America manufacturing sites and related month-end close processes. Additionally, this position manages our raw material Vendor Rebate program.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role, a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations, reputation, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Monthly calculation and month-end close entries to allocate manufacturing variances to business units using various concepts.
- Review and allocate outside buy PPV and complete various monthly reporting.
- Manage raw material vendor rebate program, including monthly accrual, vendor payment processing, and reconciliation, as well as quarterly meetings with Global Procurement.
- Assist in reviewing and developing annual raw material standard costs, vendor credit, toller overbill, usage, and polymer tech rates.
- Complete monthly reporting for management.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Identify and enact enhancements to drive standardization and efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business field.
- 3-4 years of accounting experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with Standard Cost development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access Database.
- Experience with OneStream, monthly variance accounting, QAD, and Oracle Cloud ERP systems.
Travel: 10% of the time.
