Our client in Schaumburg, IL (on site) is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team

Responsibilities:

  • Newly created position to be subject matter expert for payroll.
  • Process payroll for 225 hourly and salaried employees.
  • Process hour uploads and employee payroll changes (such as retros, bonus payments, tax withholding changes, and correct garnishment calculations).
  • Manage timely quarterly and annual tax reconciliations as well as W-2 and W-2C issuance must demonstrate a working knowledge of multi- jurisdictional, local and federal employment tax rules and regulations.
  • Manage special projects, Workers Comp Audit, 401k Audit and keep interested parties informed.
  • Work to bring in process improvements and best practices
  • Work closely with senior level executives and act as advisor

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including broad HR experience
  • Strong technical and employment tax knowledge of payroll required
  • Multi-state payroll experience
  • Bachelors degree highly desired
  • ADP experience a plus
