Senior Construction Manager

Construction management and Microsoft computer software. Public works project management principles, processes, systems, and techniques. Practices of civil engineering, infrastructure design, and construction. Federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations regarding public works construction. Trends, approaches, and problem-solving techniques used in construction, engineering, inspection, and compliance processes. Modern methods of construction and structural design concepts. Techniques, equipment, and materials used in public works construction. Construction site safety practices and procedures Responsibilities: Perform construction management as the Owner’s Representative on assigned projects ranging from $500k to $10M with 6 months to 2 years Contract Times. Under general direction, organizes, oversees, and coordinates large, complex public works construction projects. Coordinates work with the City’s construction inspector, project engineer, and contractor during construction. Preferred skills and abilities: Develop persuasive oral presentations of ideas and recommendations. Interpret and apply complex rules, regulations, laws, and ordinances. Provide assistance and leadership on all aspects of assigned projects. Analyze technical design engineering, construction engineering, and surveying problems. Evaluate alternative project approaches and adopt effective solutions. Prepare accurate and detailed written material, including staff and administrative reports. Exercise sound, independent judgment, and initiative within established guidelines. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse workforce and community Salary: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour Bonus Pay: A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at management’s discretion.
