JOB SUMMARY:

Provide leadership and support for general ledger accounting activities. This position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of all financial data applying the appropriate Cabinetworks Group accounting policies and US GAAP.
  • Provides financial reports required by management and regulatory/rating agencies.
  • Manages general accounting department and develops the individual capabilities of team members.
  • Provide all assistance needed for the annual audit, manage all month-end accounting close processes, and manage the year-end accounting close process.
  • Ensure that periodic bank and account reconciliations are completed, and issue timely and complete financial statements.
  • Oversee a management reporting process around capital spending.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system, chart of accounts, and fixed asset records.
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions and a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Drive and participate in continuous improvement activities.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in progressive accounting.
  • 1+ years experience at a management level.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • CPA
  • MBA
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Sitting for Extended Periods: The nature of the job involves sitting at a desk or workstation for extended periods while performing administrative tasks, using a computer, and engaging in various in-office activities.
  • Computer Use: Proficient use of a computer, including typing, mouse manipulation, and viewing a computer screen for extended periods is essential.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to use office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and printers. This may require fine motor skills and dexterity.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies, documents, and other materials, typically not exceeding a certain weight limit (e.g., 20 pounds).
  • Mobility: Ability to move within the office environment to access filing cabinets, printers, and other office equipment.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders directly in person or via electronic communication.
  • Visual Acuity: Ability to read printed and electronic documents, as well as distinguish colors, for tasks such as proofreading and reviewing documents.
  • Multitasking: The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively, which may require mental agility and adaptability.
