Key Responsibilities Problem Resolution: Address transportation, logistics system, and customer/driver issues promptly and effectively. Team Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to logistics coordinators and specialists, ensuring efficient workflow and performance. Effective Decision-Making: Effective decision-making is paramount, guiding swift and accurate responses to dynamic situations. The ability to assess information quickly and prioritize actions to ensure efficient and timely resolutions. Logistics Operations Management: Direct and coordinate logistics operations, including driver scheduling, truck coordination, and customer demand fulfillment. Terminal Efficiency: Collaborate with terminal managers to improve operational efficiency and cultivate sustainable relationships with supply terminals. Performance Oversight: Ensure operational objectives related to cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness are met. 3rd Party Carrier Management: Coordinate with third-party partners to assign order and verify carrier acceptance. Supply Coordination: Work with our WKC Supply team on the best possible lift points and suppliers to maximize the revenue on an order. Financial Accountability: Take ownership of the profit and loss for each truck and delivery, ensuring financial accountability. Service Issue Resolution: Anticipate service issues and implement recovery plans to minimize disruptions. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor processes and communications to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, including DOT and OSHA rules. Inter Department Analytics: Coordinate analytics with various departments and functions to support operational efficiency. Performance Metrics: Drive operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize transport operations.
