**Job Summary**

The Kansas Judicial Branch is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Court Education Conference and Event Coordinator. This role will assist the director of education with planning and coordinating training, conferences, and special events for state and municipal judges, court employees, and other stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of training, conferences, and special events, including logistics, catering, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Staff education committees and provide support for educational programs.
  • Troubleshoot issues at conferences and ensure smooth event execution.
  • Monitor continuing education compliance and track educational offerings.
  • Perform assignments contributing to the mission of the Kansas Judicial Branch.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven success in event planning or coordination.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and time management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive business relationships.
  • Experience with financial management and budgeting.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to make work decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, and court policies and procedures.
  • Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly in writing.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in Hospitality, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Public Administration, Administration of Justice, or a related field of study.
  • Knowledge of court procedures and policies pertaining to the various departments of the district court, and various offices under the Kansas Supreme Court.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures of public administration including employment and personnel management.
