Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department with a primary focus on recruiting, phone screening, interview coordination, and payroll processing. This position is required to be in office 5 days a week Monday-Friday.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal employees and external partners, providing prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable assistance to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction with HR services.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with both internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring timely updates, clarifications, and proactive support to anticipate needs and exceed expectations.
  • Recruitment:
    • Assist in posting job openings on various platforms.
    • Screen resumes and applications to identify potential candidates.
    • Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications.
    • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
    • Collaborate with the HR team to streamline the recruitment process.
  • Interview Coordination:
    • Schedule and organize interviews, both in-person and virtual.
    • Communicate interview details to candidates and hiring managers.
    • Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience throughout the interview process.
    • Collect and provide feedback to the HR team for continuous improvement.
  • Payroll Processing:
    • Assist in reviewing and verifying timekeeping records.
    • Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
    • Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
    • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with payroll regulations.
  • General HR Support:

    • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes.
    • Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.
    • Assist in maintaining employee records and files.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting Rate $19.00

Qualifications

Experience/Skills
  • Proven experience as an HR Assistant or relevant administrative role in a fast paced office setting.
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interview coordination, and payroll processing.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related file (preferred)
Working Conditions
  • Work will primarily take place in an office setting with a desk, computer, and necessary office equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members and interact with employees and candidates in person and through various communication channels.
  • The role will involve adherence to strict deadline, especially during recruitment cycles and payroll processing.
  • Limited travel may be required for recruitment-related activities or training sessions.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities is crucial in this role, especially during peak recruitment times.
  • Effective communication skills are essential, both written and verbal, for interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Given the nature of HR responsibilities, maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information is of utmost importance.
  • The position may require extended periods of sitting, use of a computer, and occasional lifting or moving of light office equipment.
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism in all interactions with employees, candidates, and team members.
