Your focus will be to identify, design, and oversee capital projects and energy conservation measures, including the capture and tracking of data to report energy and operational savings. This job is part of the Energy and Sustainability functional area, which focuses on the development and implementation of environmental and social sustainability programs. What You’ll Do: Execute strategies and programs to reach client goals. Analyze energy usage and develop projects and conservation measures to improve efficiency. Conduct site visits for energy consultation and/or perform energy assessments to identify efficiency opportunities and quantify their impact. Interpret data and prepare documentation to support business decisions for energy projects. Develop projects by formalizing scope, obtaining quotes, performing project savings analysis, and obtaining project approval. Oversee project completion, commissioning, and documentation/end-user training. Track relevant facets of energy capital project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality, and commissioning). Monitor and report on energy use and spending trends. Manage and expand the smart building program, including establishing standards and guidance, training high-level users, technical support, and tracking/reporting progress. Identify and incorporate new, innovative processes and technologies into existing operations. Communicate past, present, and future energy plans and performance through formal presentations to clients and CBRE leadership. Partner closely with other CBRE functional areas such as Facilities Management and Projects Management. Verify global energy and sustainability standards are consistently upheld. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Be the Energy Subject Matter Expert for the account. What You'll Need: All applicants must be currently eligible to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. The successful candidate must be available to travel periodically (up to 25%). Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience highly preferred. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. AEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred; LEED AP or equivalent. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to effectively present information, ideas, and requests to various audiences. Requires intermediate knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills. Proficiency with one or more energy modeling software tools. Understanding of carbon emissions by Scope, their sources, and methodologies for mitigation. Experience calculating or reporting carbon savings and impacts. Proficiency in Microsoft software, particularly Excel.
