Our client is a prominent player in the renewable energy sector, functioning primarily as a development firm while also owning and managing operational assets. This distinctive business model allows them to generate revenue through project operations and asset sales, which in turn fuels new development projects.

Position Overview

The Renewable Energy Project Manager will take charge of:
  • Overseeing the full lifecycle of utility-scale renewable energy projects from inception to commercial operation date (COD).
  • Collaborating with engineering teams and external consultants to assess site layouts, technological options, scheduling implications, and interconnection applications.
  • Conducting thorough due diligence on development-stage projects and portfolio acquisitions, prioritizing opportunities based on site selection, permitting, interconnection, and other critical project metrics.
  • Coordinating with external stakeholders to support environmental assessments.
  • Managing external relationships for property and sales tax incentives.
  • Occasionally handling permitting activities with assistance from team members.
  • Preparing project budgets, timelines, and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs).
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Renewable Energy Project Manager role will possess:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the renewable energy sector with comprehensive project development experience.
  • Direct involvement in utility-scale solar, wind, or energy storage projects.
  • Experience in land development, including landowner engagement, negotiation, title resolution, and understanding of agricultural land use and water restrictions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory mandates, environmental laws, and market signals that influence new renewable project development.
  • A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The Renewable Energy Project Manager will receive:

  • A competitive base salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000.
