Energy Operations Engineer Job Description

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Energy Operations Engineer is responsible for managing the daily energy distribution activities of the facility. Key responsibilities include overseeing Energy Office schedules, providing insights on optimal plant performance, evaluating operational metrics, and ensuring adherence to energy purchase agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate daily performance reports for the Energy Office to facilitate energy distribution
  • Assist in coordinating plant operations in alignment with energy distribution schedules
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Supervise annual capacity assessments
  • Manage Power Purchase Agreements
  • Monitor and optimize plant availability
  • Oversee compliance with generation imbalance and transmission regulations
  • Evaluate thermodynamic efficiency of the facility
  • Support troubleshooting of operational performance challenges
  • Participate in special projects as needed
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in energy generation facilities
  • Expertise in energy scheduling, performance enhancement, and grid management
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities
  • Strong organizational and collaborative skills
