Who you are:

As the Director of Events & Community Relations at Armed Services YMCA, you will be at the forefront of creating meaningful experiences through service events, community outreach, and special projects. If you're passionate about making a positive impact and building strong relationships, this role is for you What will you do: Craft Exceptional Events: Curate and manage all aspects of all service events, collaborating with volunteers and assisting the development team in securing event sponsors. Develop dynamic action plans with the Executive Director and Committee Chair. Community Empowerment: Foster relationships with funding sources, community organizations, and influential leaders. Drive our branch sponsorship program, engaging businesses and organizations. Strategic Communication: Create and implement communication and outreach strategies for our military constituents. Weave marketing magic for each special event/project. Budget Guardian: Assist in creating the annual budget for service events and community outreach initiatives. What experience and skills you will need to be successful: Superpowers You Bring: A minimum of 5 years of event planning experience for high school graduates, or a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and 3 years of event planning experience for graduates. Impeccable interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and conflict resolution abilities. A strategic and creative thinker. Your Toolbox: Expertise in writing, editing, proofreading, layout/design, and effective communication. Ability to work independently and collaborate on multiple projects with attention to detail. Your Spirit: A passionate, positive self-starter who thrives in a team environment. Integrity, discretion, and professionalism. Logistical Know-How: Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Readiness to travel as required. Successful background check.
