This individual should be looking to build a continued career within the industry, as our company will be growing, giving plenty of potential to make advancements. This role will investigate and evaluate while maintaining full compliance with internal and external quality standards and state specific regulations. As a Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster, you’ll help customers get back on the road after an accident. Building relationships while working in a fast-paced environment and managing the claims process is a key aspect of this roles. You’ll have the support of a collaborative team and ongoing coaching from leaders. What does a Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster Level III do at GAINSCO? Evaluates and investigate submitted documentation to establish proof of loss. Uses effective investigation, verbal, and written communication skills to bring files to an amicable resolution with specific knowledge of litigation handling and coverage issues. Handles attorney repped soft tissue bodily injury claims, non-complex to complex coverages and liability investigation. Sets inspection times/dates and finds storage free locations for vehicles. Secures statements from all parties involved in loss. Ensures legal compliance by following guidelines, company policies, as well as state and federal insurance regulations. Secures additional information from claimants, witnesses, physicians, employer, hospital, and other insurance companies to properly investigate claims. Initiates investigation of claims involving complex coverage concerns, with a strong knowledge of comparative negligence and awareness of causation and mechanism of injury concerns. What is required? Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Bachelor’s degree is preferred. License/Certification: A valid State Adjuster License is required. Experience: 4 or more years of experience in Auto Insurance as a Claims Adjuster is required. Prior experience interpreting policy language and state statutes is required. Previous experience handling minor to moderately severe attorney represented injury claims is preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Other skills and abilities: Ability to manage time while prioritizing multiple tasks. Have an aptitude for providing information in a clear, concise manner with an appropriate level of detail, empathy, and professionalism. Demonstrates a high commitment to quality. Possess strong negotiation and analytical skills. Detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced work environment while displaying the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, management, physicians, law enforcement and legal teams in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to gather and analyze information to evaluate results and choose the best solution to the problem. What else do you need to know? Competitive Salary based on experience.
