Title: Specialist II, Contract Compliance

Under general supervision, manages contract administration issues throughout project life cycles in support of the Finance Division; ensures district-wide audit and financial integrity. The Specialist II, Contract Compliance assists with ensuring the functions of the Finance Division are following all applicable laws and Board of Education Policies; supports the contract review process for all contracts issued by DCSD (DeKalb County School District) and manages contract administration issues throughout project life cycles.

Essential Functions:

The following duties are representative of this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Provides support for wide-ranging contractual issues of the District regarding contract management, procurement, contract concerns, procurement, and BOE policy compliance
Assists with maintaining template forms for contract documents used by the district including various construction contracts, architectural services contracts, engineering contracts, general services contracts, etc. Provides support ensuring the incorporation of all approved changes to same by outside general counsel and use of the proper template forms during all stages of a project
Inserts accurate information from winning bidder/offer or into proper contract template and ensure timely issuance of same per DCSD policies
Maintains online contract management system for organization of contract documents from receipt from vendors/internal clients through to final disposition.
Maintains the financial contract management system throughout the contract lifecycle (e.g., insurance documents, renewals, and budget compliance)
Composes and prepares routine correspondence and prepares annual reports
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree or equivalent completed college coursework in paralegal studies from a Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of contract, paralegal, or closely related experience required.
