Little Ferry, United States Bloom Talent Full time

Innovative venture capital firm with a list of high-profile portfolio companies is looking for an Events Operations Manager to be a right-hand to their Head of Community This is an incredible opportunity to join a hard working, collaborative, and humble team of 75. In this role, you will be responsible for owning logistics and leading all the details for events - from sourcing unique venues and vendor management to compiling invites, sourcing new attendees, and event communications. You will also help with decks and presentations, tracking RSVP’s, design assets, and lead team operations. Someone who is extremely attentive to the details, comfortable working in an ambiguous environment, and a structured thinker with excellent project management skills. Must also have a eye for design, taste, and be in the scene of New York to be able to translate their brand through events Previous experience managing early-stage events and projects to completion, in a fast-paced, startup environment is desired. This is a mostly in-office role, Monday through Thursday with some event attendance required. 140-160K+ DOE + bonus, benefits, 401k with matching, lunch stipend, annual team trips, and gym in the office Responsibilities: Lead event coordination and planning from start to finish. Research and source unique, unforgettable venues and vendors that align with the organization's brand and culture. Manage a large set of vendor relationships (catering, AV, staffing, restaurant venues) and own contract review and execution. Lead all event communications, including drafting invitations, guest reminders, collecting dietary restrictions, creating calendar invites, designing event RSVP pages, and post-event follow-up. Maintain and manage a run-of-show for the event, and lead RSVP tracking and vendor management. Lead the design of event assets, such as invitations, digital landing pages for events, menus, and paper materials for events. Source and curate guests across sectors and industries for each event through the organization's own network as well as external network additions. Support the design of decks and presentations to memorialize discussions at events into thoughtful, actionable, and well-designed content for distribution within the organization's portfolio. Join in on deal flow conversations to keep track of investors and priorities. Maintain a robust CRM of event attendees and discover creative ways to re-engage guests (e.g. in other appropriate events). Identify which processes need to be streamlined, or made into a playbook, and then create one. Coordinate cross-functionally on events and invitations with the team. Qualifications: 3-4 years of experience in an Event Planning, Executive Assistant, or Ops Management role within a high-growth startup or similar environment. Builds relationships quickly with a wide range of stakeholders and personalities. Clear communicator with excellent verbal and writing skills. Extremely attentive to detail (and truly “sweats” the details); someone who takes pride in the quality of their work. No detail is too small, especially when it comes to executing flawless events. Self-driven, reliable, and self-managed. Comfortable in an environment with a high degree of ambiguity. Structured thinker who can manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively. You have a bias towards action and execution mentality, and you are a "do-er". Understanding and familiarity with startups, business models, and knowledge of the functional organizational structure of companies and their levels. Familiarity with Affinity, Airtable, LinkedIn, LinkedIn Recruiter/Sales Navigator, or other types of sourcing tools is a plus *Please Note: Your application will be considered for all open positions. You do not need to apply for multiple roles.
