Blonk, a Merieux NutriSciences company

Are you looking to support international companies, governments and civil society organisations develop sustainable food supply chains? We are expanding our new US team with multiple Sustainability Consultants. The successful candidates will start immediately on a variety of projects in the dynamic environment of sustainable food and agricultural production. We are looking for energetic and persuasive consultants with a focus on quality and client service who generate innovative solutions and works towards results.

What will you be doing?

As a consultant within Blonk you will translate customer needs into meaningful projects, and you will work on projects related to sustainable diets and sustainable agricultural production for our North American clients. Within the Consultants Team, your main focus will be environmental footprinting of food products and exploring solutions with customers. At Blonk, you will be working in varying international project teams within an easy-going office atmosphere based in our new Washington DC office.

YOUR PROFILE

•Completed university education in a scientific or engineering subject with a sustainability component (e.g. energy sciences, industrial ecology, sustainable energy technology, environmental science)

•Minimum 2 years of work experience in a relevant field

•Strong analytical skills

•Knowledge of LCA

•Excellent project management skills

•Affinity with data science and quantitative science

•Ability to understand client processes and make the connection with consultancy and/or IT-processes

•Good report writing skills

•Good communication skills

•A focus on quality

•Located in Washington DC area (or willing to relocate)

Bonus points

•Experience with programming (e.g. Python, VBA) and/or LCA software (e.g. SimaPro, openLCA, GaBi, Brightway)

•Experience with LCA studies of agricultural products
