Asystem is seeking a Strategy Consultant or Senior Consultant to enhance our expanding Transition Strategy and Execution division.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of consulting strategies, financial modeling, and execution:
- Craft comprehensive financial analyses and models that incorporate climate, sustainability, economic, policy, technology, and related data.
- Analyze market, industry, and customer-specific data to formulate relevant assumptions and timelines for project deliverables.
- Create business cases for sustainability-oriented projects and initiatives, including climate, water, and waste management.
- Act as the primary executor of project engagements, implementing the project plan established by leadership to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Produce deliverables that not only meet but exceed project expectations.
- Transform research and analysis into cohesive narratives for client presentations.
- Exhibit executive presence in client interactions and present findings as required.
- Guide and mentor junior team members.
- Possess the ability to identify, assess, and quantify the financial implications of sustainability-focused business cases.
- Provide insights and analysis on emerging sustainability technologies and solutions, understanding their business model implications.
- Continuously seek opportunities for learning and enhancing domain expertise.
- Prioritize candidates with experience in deploying clean energy solutions and developing energy efficiency and decarbonization strategies.
Assist with internal initiatives:
- Develop financial models to aid in business planning for new service offerings.
- Support business development and market research efforts that enhance client sales presentations and thought leadership.
- Contribute to the creation of materials for Asystem's Learning Agenda and team development.
Essential Skills:
- 3 - 7 years of professional experience, with a preference for candidates having 2+ years in climate strategy and prior consulting experience.
- Proficiency in developing detailed financial models and conducting sensitivity analyses for business case development.
- Experience with scenario analysis, including Monte Carlo and Crystal Ball methodologies, to assess probabilities and potential outcomes.
- Ability to produce quantitative and qualitative analyses and presentations to support business cases at the program or project level.
- Experience in retail, consumer-facing businesses, electric utilities, or the energy sector is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with global standards and frameworks such as GHG Protocol, SBTi, RE100, ISSB, TCFD, TNFD, and PRI.
- Knowledge of energy, decarbonization, and climate transition solutions, along with an understanding of project finance.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in evaluating climate-related data and corporate strategy processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills adaptable to various audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and foster an inclusive environment with client partners.
- Comfort in navigating ambiguous challenges and identifying diverse opportunities and solutions.
- Flexible mindset with the capability to build trust and work autonomously.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000, with title and salary based on experience, plus performance-based bonuses and equity options.
