Job Description:

  • Evaluate current business processes and system capabilities, identify opportunities and analyze potential solutions to support business goals and objectives.
  • Create business requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys, and document analysis to articulate business needs.
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.
  • Distinguish user requests from the underlying true requirements.
  • Document current and future processes using cross-functional flow charts, swim lanes, process map diagrams, cross-functional flowcharts and other supporting documentation.
  • Validate findings and obtain approval from key stakeholders.
  • Assist Project Managers with project charters, project estimates, project plans, and business impact analyses.
  • Partner with internal and external development resources to ensure that the solution provides the expected business results.
  • Support Quality Assurance teams in defining and executing test plans, coordinating user acceptance testing and ensuring the solution satisfies requirements and quality expectations.
  • Partner with training teams to ensure effective roll outs.
  • Troubleshoot issues during project deployments.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned business function(s)
  • Team player with aptitude to build and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships.
  • High attention to detail with analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with sense of urgency and drive to work towards results and meet deadlines in a constantly changing fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple initiatives concurrently, and successfully execute to completion.

Requirements:

  • Ability to occasionally be On-Site in Chesapeake as needed.
  • Familiarity with Financial / Accounting Systems type of environments
  • 5+ years as a Senior Business Systems Analyst
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including MS Visio
  • Software Development Lifecycle experience
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Working knowledge of SQL as well as system interface tools (i.e. APIs) and file transfer methodologies
