Position Summary: The Burner/Controls Technician is responsible for diagnosing and resolving operational issues related to boiler controls and associated equipment. This role involves the installation of new machinery, conducting start-ups, performing repairs, and offering service contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols at all times, prioritizing a "Safety First" approach.
- Conduct business in alignment with company core values to foster a culture of service and teamwork across all departments.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in required vendor training and company-sponsored educational programs.
- Manage truck stock inventory, ensuring availability of necessary repair parts.
- Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and safe condition, adhering to all driving regulations.
- Exhibit regular attendance and maintain a clean driving record.
- Support inside service or sales by identifying and submitting leads on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and submit accurate service tickets for all work performed on a daily basis.
- Assist in training less experienced personnel.
- Keep detailed records of time, labor, materials, and tasks performed.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Implement installation upgrades, including gas conversions and parallel positioning controls.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, including combustion setup and emission analysis.
- Perform equipment and system start-ups according to manufacturer specifications.
- Be available for on-call duties as scheduled.
- Procure necessary repair parts as required.
- Maintain vendor software, performing updates and backups as necessary.
- Download and back up control files for customer equipment.
- Other duties and cross-training as assigned.
