Creating impactful experiences on and off the court is what we do - and ensuring that everyone has a voice is how we do it.As a Ticket Sales Coordinator, you will support the Business Development, Group Sales, Inside Sales, Member Services, & Premium teams and respective managers with both in office and game night responsibilities. In this role, you will assist with and facilitate sales- related events and promotions (including group sales initiatives and theme nights), group sales and ticket sales marketing collateral, staff outings and meetings, and interdepartmental communication and operations.We are seeking for a team member with a positive upbeat attitude that can connect with a diverse populationWhat you'll be doing :Assist with the development, planning and execution of Group Sales nights/events and group ticket packagesDeveloping, Selling, and Facilitating pregame, in-game, and postgame group sales events and fan experiences+ assisting group sales department in greeting guests, escorting groups on court, etc.Assist Marketing and Membership Engagement with crafting and executing pregame, in game, or postgame sales events and initiativesLead and implement group leader receptions and new business development prospecting events; develop RSVP process, invites, client confirmations, and assist with registration and check-ins at special eventsLead and communicate the FEP Calendar amongst Ticket Sales and across Game Operations, Marketing, Community Relations, and Guest Relations/OperationsCoordinate or assist in new business, premium, and membership-related direct mail and email campaignsLead all aspects of autographed inventory allotted for each of the teams; place requests for delivery as needed. Also develop and order sales items (client gifts, group sales items, giveaways, etc.)Assist in maintaining budgetary updates and purchase orders for each team; supervise staff relations, prospecting, event costs, and giveaway item spends accordinglyAssist in presenting, facilitating, and compiling results of sales contestsRegularly attend Inside Sales, Business Development, Member Services, Group Sales, Premium, and Management team meetings as neededServe as liaison between Ticket Sales and Creative, Community Relations, Operations, and OEI Events/Operations; bridge communicationDevelop and manage the Group Sales School Assembly Program and all related duties (develop collateral, book/track schools, book/track Hooper, Coach Aaron, etc.)Assist with staffing and preparing the Group Sales and Ticket Sales Kiosks on game daysBuild and communicate Group Sales and comprehensive Ticket Sales Game day synopsis and various sales reports; ensure OEI is prepared with all necessary details to staff and implement sales-related eventsAssist with updating and building sales content for the Group Sales Webpage on Pistons.com -provide continuous updates and materials for upcoming group sales events to share on Pistons.com & social platformsRun group sales fundraising check process and all purchase ordersCoordinate ordering and delivery of all needed items (t-shirts for fan experiences, giveaway items, items included in packages, member gifts, etc.) Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed by the Ticket Sales Leadership TeamWhat we're looking for:Bachelor's degree or equivalent required1 to 3 years of sports industry experience preferredProficient with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and AdobeAdministrative experience and/or Group Sales / Ticket Sales experience is valued, but not requiredAbility to work nights/weekends/holidays/flexible scheduleExcellent communication, networking and writing skills requiredMust demonstrate a high degree of motivation, time management, attention to detail and organization skillsAble to write creatively and present ideas in a clear and concise mannerCan handle multiple projects, multi-task, and see projects through to completionWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.Job Questions:Are you authorized to work in the US?Will you now or in the future require sponsorship to work within the United States?Did you hear about this through an HBCU/Handshake?Did you hear about this posting through the Detroit HBCU Alumni Network?
