About the Job

As an Academy Training Coordinator, you will actively coordinate training events at VELUX Training Academy facility along with two mobile training vans for installation pro partners.

As Academy Training Coordinator, this position will assist VELUX in becoming an effective resource to these contractors by ensuring well-coordinated training events with astute attention to detail. The individual in this role will be essential to achieving the goals of our VELUX Training Academy.

This position will be based onsite in our Rockville, MD location.

Primary Functions

  • Coordinate all aspects of training events held at the facility, including setup, catering, logistics, and other details as needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate mobile training sessions, ensuring efficient and effective scheduling and geographic approach.
  • Oversee the training request process for pro partners, sales representatives, and distribution partners, ensuring smooth coordination and support.
  • Support the Academy Manager and Mobile Trainers in collecting and organizing participant information.
  • Facilitate outreach efforts to continue pro partner engagement with additional curriculum training.
  • Assist in capturing and documenting training data, including surveys and certificates, using the designated CRM system.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with academy inquiries and coordinate outreach efforts.
  • Maintain activities within allotted financial budgets for training events.
  • Interact with installation partners and customers in showroom settings.
  • Promote enthusiasm and interest in the VELUX academy curriculum among pro partners.
  • Assist in evaluating curriculum interest and participation.
  • Provide administrative support for all academy-related activities.
Starting Hourly Wage

$25.88 - $32.37. Compensation will be based on the skills and experience of the candidate.

Requirements
  • 1-3 years' experience in a coordination or administrative role
  • Proficiency with key technology tools, including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are a must.
  • Must desire working in a team environment including interaction with field-based team members.
  • Organized and determined to maintain order in delivering well-coordinated training events.
  • Confident appearance when dealing with customers.
  • Capability of handling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Limited Overnight Travel: 5-10 nights annually
  • Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
  • Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in Employee Handbooks, on Company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communication is a requirement of the job.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Experience with Hubspot, LearnUpon or other LMS system is advantageous.
