Job Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an entry level inside sales representative that focuses on outreach, prospecting, and subscription renewal processing. The BDR will focus on renewing current MediaLab customers in a timely manner that will ensure no lapse in current subscriptions. The BDR will learn MediaLab's processes to scope client needs, discover and expand new business opportunities and provide the sales team with follow-up tasks. The BDR's main role will be connecting with all current customers in their renewal window and proactively execute net upsell at renewal. A successful candidate will be a strongly self-motivated and driven individual who is goal-oriented, methodical, and can effectively interact with a team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • BDRs are focused on expanding smaller contract value current customers in their renewal window.
  • Connect with current customers and learn about their business and needs.
  • BDRs lead the renewal process for designated customers
  • Execute on renewal contracts from first call to contract completion in advance of renewal dates
  • Educate, answer questions, and send resources to potential customers.
  • Contact leads and determine who qualifies.
  • BDRs are evaluated on current customer expansion during the renewal process.
Qualifications
  • A deep desire to compete and win with customers
  • Passionate about customer satisfaction and desire to exceed expectations
  • Previous medical laboratory or related experience preferred (such as MLT, phlebotomy, or lab assistant)
  • A commanding desire to learn and succeed in tech sales
  • The ability to write succinct, crisp emails and a great phone manner
  • Ability to gain deep product knowledge and continually learn new features, applications and more.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work with CRM software
