The Manager, Product Insights will be tasked with being the impartial voice of the consumer by providing actionable insights that help guide the product pipeline strategy. This position will be responsible for playing a leading role in the product research process (particularly the front-end innovation phases) and identifying opportunities for traffic growth by conducting research to assess and optimize product offerings through idea generation, concepts and thematics. in a fast paced and agile working environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for playing a key role in designing and managing execution of Subway product innovation research - specifically sensory testing/CLTs, and consumer market test research studies (buyer reaction, operator, mystery shop, etc.). Manage the final analysis and present results to Director/team, Senior Leadership and cross-functional team members. Responsibility may also include being onsite at facility for CLTs. Oversee the development and implementation of custom consumer research for product/innovation (ie, screening, positioning, TUR, optimization, etc.). Manage relationships with vendors, support and design questionnaires/discussion guides, coordinate with brand/agency to secure stimulus, analyze and present results to Director/team. Responsibility may also include being travel for in-person qual. Develop strong, collaborative partnerships with internal teams and external partners (i.e. IPC). Act as liason with other cross-functional team members. Manage multiple teams of research vendors. Responsible for research vendor selection, quality control and report delivery (on time and at budget). Play a leading role in proactively identifying opportunities to use supplemental research through tools like the online community and social listening & trend platforms to support other ongoing product initiatives. Responsible for executing and analyzing results, sharing out with Director/team and Leadership.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of related experience in consumer insights or market research required. Prior sensory/product testing experience a plus. Food service/restaurant industry knowledge a plus. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment; must juggle multiple projects at once and remain flexible as priorities may change based on business needs. Creativity in suggesting out-of-the-box research solutions that are best suited to solve business challenges. Ability to analyze large amounts of information and utilize multiple data sources to mine insights. Strong presentation and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented. Consistently looks for opportunities to optimize research methods/solutions as well as pull in supplemental tools for added value. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to identify and present viable solutions to research or business challenges that arise. Ability to manage workflow, train and act as mentor for junior level staff as needed.
