Purpose

The purpose of this position is to assist CNS Honors & Scholarships in financial planning, purchasing, event coordination, supervision of student employees and recruitment; and to advance our core mission of fostering wellness, belonging, and success for all students.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage purchasing, payments and office functions for CNS Honors & Scholarships.
- Manage events for CNS Honors & Scholarships, including scheduling, budgeting, expenses, vendor relations, customer service for all guests and assist student organizations with funding and logistics.
- Work with the CNS Honors & Scholarships director on budget planning, track all expenditures, monitor accounts and ensure proper use of funds.
- Recruit, hire, train and supervise student employees.
- Other duties as assigned, including supporting special projects and staffing events within CNS.

Required Qualifications

High School diploma and 5 years clerical experience or Bachelor’s degree and 1 year experience as administrative associate. Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products, strong oral and written communication skills, detail oriented, and ability to prioritize tasks over the short
- and long-term landscapes.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate._

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with event coordination. Supervisory experience. Experience with UT-Austin tools used for budget management.

Salary Range

$45,000 + depending on qualifications
