Manufacturing Manager

This **Pro Smoker** role requires a self-driven, well organized Manufacturing Manager who can exercise decision making skills and time management with little supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. This position reports to the Vice President. This position supports the company’s production facility with the responsibilities that are included below.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing day-today production schedules, operational and plant activities
- Develop, implement and measure standards for production of each style Pro Smoker product
- Ensure that operational processes stay within agreed upon budgets and timelines
- Maintain working relationships with key vendors
- Oversee purchasing and inventory to ensure parts are on hand to complete orders
- Identify and implement cost savings within both purchasing and manufacturing
- Scheduling employees and managing work load and projects
- Schedule customer outside service and upgrade needs
- Communicate directly with workers to ensure deadlines are being met
- Develop and implement manufacturing instructions for each style of Pro Smoker Product
- Make sure each employee has a verified Pick List before starting production on any project
- Supervise employees and oversees training and development of employees (Cross Train)
- Recommend improvements in process to make it more efficient
- Maintain safe work environment and participate in safety program development
- Ensure product is in compliance with customer standards and fulfillment goals are met
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of machines to avoid downtime and delays
- Assist in performance reviews of employees
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring process
- Organizes and maintains the overall condition of the Manufacturing Area
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Prior management in metal fabrication business preferred
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact when working with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects and adapt to changing deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
