Reporting to the Sr. Director, Controller, this role will be responsible for overseeing the Managed Clients and lease reporting relationships, payments, and inquiries.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Oversee the Accounting Manager, and two staff accountants responsible for Managed Clients monthly accounting and reporting, bank and account reconciliations, expense tracking and cash transfers.
- Act as the liaison between the outside lease administration company to ensure that information is up to date and payments are made accurately and timely.
- Calculate % rent payments and prepare % rent statements timely and accurately.
- Record all lease and managed clients entries in the general ledger including payments, ASC 842 and expenses.
- Account for real estate taxes and work with external accounting firm on filing of Commercial Rent Tax Returns
- Ensure that Icon is paid timely for all management fees and expense reimbursements.
- Oversee the reconciliation of inter-company accounts between leased and managed books.
- Investigate and provide analysis and support to resolve reconciling items.
- Streamline processes and implement best in class procedures.
- Develop and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ad-hoc projects as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 7+ years’ experience, with a minimum of 3 years experience in property accounting or real estate finance.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Thorough knowledge of property accounting principles, including lease accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex lease agreements and financial data.
- Advanced Excel experience, NetSuite experience a plus.
- Must have the self-determination to work autonomously and be an effective problem solver.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Takes initiative to identify problems and propose solutions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing work environment.
