**Brief Summary of Job Duties**

Provides support for events by assisting with client needs, staffing, and advice on audio-visual media needs and capabilities based on the event and venue. Sets up all aspects of event including a variety of audio, video, computer, projection, and lighting equipment. Serves as additional staffing for event support in all areas of Instructional Development including but not limited to IV Theaters, Campbell Hall, and the Interactive Learning Pavilion. Coordinates with other Instructional Development Staff to ensure all elements are in place for scheduled events. Works with the department and campus network administrators to ensure network connectivity, as needed, for events. Assists Video Services staff with audio, video, computer display and lighting elements of video production. Works with repair and maintenance staff to ensure that equipment is working properly and reliably. Supervises and trains student assistants in the field to support events. Meets with clients and Instructional Development Staff to confirm schedules and client requirements. Advises Instructional Development Staff on equipment purchases.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- 1 - 3 years of work experience in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent project management skills and strategic planning skills.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, including while under pressure.
- Solid organizational skills, work under the pressure of deadlines, and able to multi-task within demanding timeframes.
- Ability to work in a team as a lead, member, and/or liaison as well as the ability to work independently, and collaboratively with other locations.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Familiar with projection systems including screen resolutions, input switching, and troubleshooting displays.
- Able to set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV systems under pressure.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- 1 - 3 years of work experience in managing event support and/or theatrical support in a large event setting.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, sponsor and institutional regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Ability to set up and mix a 24-input performance.
- Fluent in basic audio set up and able to mix up to a 24-input show - QSC Touch Mix, Yamaha and Midas systems.
- Ability to hang, patch and program lighting instruments.
- Able to program and operate ETC ion.
