- THIS POSITION REQUIRES TRAVEL TO EACH JOB SITE, AND IS NOT AN OFFICE POSITION
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- AVAILABLE TO WORK NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS.
- Ability to travel to various job sites, vehicle or reliable transportation required.
- Job sites vary in the NY/NJ/CT area.
- A background in carpentry is a plus.
- Site Supervising Experience 3+ years required.
- Willingness to travel in the 5 Boroughs in NYC, Long Island & New Jersey.
- Experience and knowledge of reading & interpreting Blueprints.
License/Certifications:
- Driver's License (required).
- OSHA 30 (required).
- Willingness to travel.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain a managerial presence on job sites from the start of the day to the end.
- Assist in the daily management and oversight of construction projects.
- Monitor on-site activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Ensure that work is performed in accordance with all safety and quality standards.
- Be able to manage multiple trades on the job site.
- Prepare and adhere to an effective schedule for all construction plans.
- Analyze and ensure compliance with all construction contract schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants.
- Supervise the efficient working of all project staff and ensure compliance with all design specifications.
- Coordinate with company personnel and clients to resolve all project issues and provide a response to all requests.
- Design and implement strategies for contractors.
- Supervise efficient working of all construction specifications and ensure compliance with all record drawings.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure the accuracy of all documents and maintain cost control on all projects while maintaining quality at all times.
- Administer efficient working of all field staff and participate in all meetings with contracts to evaluate progress on a regular basis.
- Develop and implement all project control tools and prepare an effective cost report for all construction projects.
- Maintain accuracy of data and safety systems.
- Handle site management of health and safety programs.
- Ensure training of employees, visitors, and contractors in job hazards and safety practices.
- Develop and enable employee Safety Training Programs.
- Handle material safety data sheets’ current listing for controlled products on plant site.
Coordination and Communication:
- Manager Workforce Procore Application, and ensure manpower is properly assigned to projects.
- Update Microsoft planner daily in accordance with our internal procedures
- Monitor and report on field coordination group chats, and daily log review on Procore.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Communicate effectively with the Field Manager, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Attend and contribute to site meetings and progress discussions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, progress reports, and any issues that arise.
- Assist in preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Field Manager.
- Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality and adherence to project specifications.
- Identify and address any defects or deficiencies promptly.
- Assist in the implementation of quality assurance procedures.
Resource Management:
- Assist in managing on-site resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor the usage of materials and ensure they are used efficiently.
Assist in ordering and managing the delivery of supplies.
Problem Solving:
- Identify potential issues and assist in developing solutions to prevent project delays.
Respond to emergencies and site challenges promptly and effectively.
Working Conditions:
- Driving to and from job sites.
- Primarily based on construction sites with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting materials.
- May involve extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines.
Reporting Line:
- Reports directly to the Field Manager.
- Collaborates with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and other field staff.
Job Details:
- Full Time.
- Night Shifts (not overnight).
- Weekday & Weekend availability.
- Overtime.
