Whiting-Turner is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Entry-Level Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors. Your primary duties will include managing estimating and bidding processes, tracking costs to manage project budget, resolving and clarifying design issues, and identifying and resolving field issues and change orders. You will also be responsible for writing contracts and purchase orders, participating in meetings to coordinate work and manage labor concerns, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with quality standards and contract specifications. Additionally, you will implement project schedules, document the technical, financial, and personnel aspects of each project, and review project drawings, specifications, submittals, and change orders. Required skills include proficiency in Microsoft Project, Suretrak, Primavera, and general knowledge of safety regulations, ANSI standards, local and state building codes, environmental codes, availability of industry-specific codes and guidelines. Required experience includes a Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management, Construction Technology, knowledge of engineering principles, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Whiting-Turner will train qualified candidates to develop general knowledge of safety regulations, ANSI standards, local and state building codes, environmental codes, availability of industry-specific codes and guidelines, and general knowledge of general construction processes, practices, and work sites.
