Brown Advisory is currently seeking a professional, energetic and detail oriented individual to become an Equity Administrator within our Baltimore office location with primary responsibility to provide administrative support and record keeping of the firm’s equity and option programs. This position is designed to allow for rewarding career growth and opportunities for advancement within the accounting & finance function of a global independent investment management and strategic advisory firm.

Equity Administrator Qualifications:

- Strong level of attention to detail and proven ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities; a sense of urgency is required.
- High level of initiative and sound judgment.
- Maintains colleague and shareholder confidence by keeping compensation information confidential.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in navigating detailed system-generated source reports, downloading and manipulating data, and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources to solve problems.
- Excellent client service orientation and possess client-first mentality; demonstrated flexibility, strong follow-up skills and timely communication.
- Ability to prioritize multiple work streams, appropriately balance project and execution activities, and perform effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 1+ years of experience with knowledge of stock administration.
- Experience with OptionTrax platform and Workday HRIS system.
- CEP certification or track preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Prepare ad-hoc deliverables for shareholders such as equity summaries, option exercise previews, transaction histories, etc.
- Respond timely and professionally to shareholder questions.
- Ensure all equity transactions (grants, exercises, redemptions, cancellations) are accurately processed in a timely manner.
- Present to colleagues on our equity program and help them understand their equity compensation.
- Have strong organizational skills and be able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Work independently and follow tasks through to completion and meet commitments, proactively seeking guidance as necessary.
- Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with shareholders and senior management.
- Support the day-to-day administration of the company’s equity and option plans globally. Includes processing paperwork related to subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and all unitholder-related transactions in accordance with company procedures under the supervision of the Equity Team Lead.
- Coordinate with all departments in the process, including Human Resources, Legal, Treasury, Payroll, Tax and Accounts Payable.
- Accurately collect and enter data into our equity administration software in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the paperwork related to new equity and option grants, ensuring proper approvals and controls are in place.
- Assist with year-end financial statement audits and other regulatory examination requests.
- Responsible for execution and distribution of all equity-related documents under Equity Team Lead supervision.
- Document Equity processes and procedures.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
