About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Equal Employment Opportunity Investigator at the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS). As a key member of our EEO team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our agency maintains a fair and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations of internal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints, including intake, triage, assessment, and referral of non-EEO complaints.
  • Develop and deliver training on EEO, diversity, and equity topics to promote a culture of inclusion and respect.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to EEO and ADA compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior EEO staff and management to resolve EEO/ADA-related complaints and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on EEO and ADA laws and requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • Five years of administrative staff or professional work experience.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with experience in EEO investigations, policy development, and training delivery.
