About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Equal Employment Opportunity Investigator. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) in ensuring a fair and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations of internal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints, including intake, triage, assessment, and referral of non-EEO complaints.
- Draft and complete investigative reports, render findings and recommendations, and facilitate the resolution of EEO/ADA-related complaints.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training on EEO, Diversity, and Equity, Inclusion.
- Review and approve employment transactions, assist in the development of policies and procedures regarding EEO/ADA, and participate in interview panels to ensure fair hiring practices.
- Provide information and guidance to managers on EEO/ADA laws and requirements for compliance.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
- Five years of administrative staff or professional work experience.
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience in policy development, investigation, and training.
