**Job Summary**

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for posting cash receipts within the Accounts Receivable ledger in Sage 100. The A/R person will also maintain customer information in Sage for accurate invoice and statement production and assist with collections when needed.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Open Checks in mail and give to supervisor to scan to Chase Bank
- Post checks for daily bank deposits.
- Post customer credit card payments.
- Post customer ACH payments.
- Process Customer credit cards (from sales orders and numbers on file)
- Answer Customer Calls - fulfill requests such as duplicate Invoice requests, run credit cards, etc.
- W-9 Requests
- A/R Filing
- Enter Customer Information as needed (New Accts/ Sales Tax Exemption, etc.)
- Assist with Collections when needed.
- Assist Controller with audits / special projects.

**Education and Experience**
- High School Diploma or GED required, associate degree in accounting preferred.
- Strong PC experience, understanding of operating systems and MS Office
- Sage 100 experience or ability to learn ERP system.
- Any NACM certifications are a plus.

- Superior client service skills (both verbal and written) and strong active listening skills.
- Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Flexible and creative to resolve issues to the mutual satisfaction of the parties involved.

**Supervisory Responsibility**

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

**Work Environment**

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

**Physical Demands**

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to navigate throughout the physical building. May be required to travel to other divisions.

**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend or longer hours may be required based on business needs.
