We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Assistant at our Whiting corporate headquarters. This person will be responsible for the following:
Carry out the functions relating to the accounting support staff of an international company with multiple operating entities around the world trading in six different currencies. Responsibilities include day to day activities surrounding accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as maintaining accounting journals to assist the accountants in reporting the financial position of the company.

**Essential Duties**:

- Post daily cash receipts
- Reconcile customer accounts
- Generate and distribute customer invoices
- Assist in the month and year-end closing processes
- Process high volume accounts payable invoices by matching purchase orders and packing slips with vendor invoice, coding them to the correct GL accounts and entering them in the accounts payable system
- Manage and process regular check runs
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Reconcile, code and enter monthly credit card statements
- Complete tax exemption certificates
- Manage W-9 forms
- Prepare 1099-NEC

**Other Duties**:

- Absence coverage across all areas of the Accounting Department
- Assist in special projects and reporting as directed by Accounting Manager
- Prepare various month end reports

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- 5+ years accounting experience
- Full Time, onsite Monday - Friday

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
