About the Company:
Our client is a rapidly expanding, multi-million dollar global manufacturer based in Whiting, IN. With a significant international footprint, this organization presents an excellent opportunity for an individual to gain extensive exposure to the month-end processes, contribute to process enhancements, and collaborate closely with senior management.
Reporting Structure:
In this role, you will report directly to the CFO, allowing you to engage with various facets of the business.
Impact and Collaboration:
As a Staff Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally, collaborating with different departments to make a substantial impact on the organization and accelerate your career trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the month-end closing process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Support the preparation of financial statements and manage the month-end and quarterly closing activities.
3. Oversee the completion of monthly consolidation financial packets for senior management.
4. Collaborate with internal and external auditors, generating necessary audit expense reports.
5. Execute essential accounting procedures such as month-end closing, financial statement preparation, and fixed asset management.
6. Prepare various state sales and use tax filings.
7. Conduct and review monthly account reconciliations, including variance analysis.
8. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
9. Lead the reconciliation of intercompany foreign accounts.
10. Assist in creating monthly entries on a global scale to finalize international books.
11. Work with internal and external tax teams in preparing tax returns.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector. Proficiency in MS Excel and Word is essential, along with strong business communication and analytical skills. Attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
