The Library is hiring an Outreach Specialist is a detail-oriented, community-focused position. This position provides services as an extension of The Library in multiple locations across Dauphin County. The Outreach Specialist helps establish relationships with members who do not regularly visit The Library by giving out information and performing library programs for various age ranges.

**Education/Training**: Training: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Development (GED) equivalent.

**Experience**: A minimum of two years of customer service experience and one year’s experience working directly with youth preferred. Use of technology experience required including experience using MS Office Suite.

**Required**: Current and valid driver’s license (if required to operate a Dauphin County Library System vehicle, insurance underwriter requires minimum of three years driving experience), ability to move materials within and between locations, sufficient mobility to perform programs for adults, ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted, bending, and reaching.

**Starting Hourly Rate**:$12.25 - $12.50

**Location**: East Shore Area Library, 4501 Ethel Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109
