The Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit is seeking a dedicated professional for a full-time position within our Migrant Education initiative, focusing on supporting diverse migrant farm families.

We are in search of an adaptable individual with a background in recruitment, interviewing strategies, social services, or education. Proficiency in Spanish is highly valued for effective communication with the target population.

This role requires regular travel across various locations, necessitating the ability to commute to multiple sites.

Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage based on educational background and qualifications. This full-time role entails a commitment of 7.5 hours per day, totaling 37.5 hours weekly for 260 days annually. We offer an excellent benefits package, including comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; retirement plans, such as the Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS); and life insurance options.

Qualifications and Skills:
A High School Diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED) is mandatory, while an Associate's degree or higher is preferred.

Applicants should possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in roles related to recruitment, outreach, marketing, sales, or similar positions within Migrant Education.

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to foster and maintain relationships with individuals from diverse professional, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds is crucial. Experience in conducting interviews or administering surveys is advantageous. Additional language skills in Spanish or Nepali are a plus. Basic technological proficiency (e.g., Outlook, Google Suite) is required, as well as familiarity with virtual meeting platforms like Skype, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to cultivate and sustain positive, collaborative relationships with tact and diplomacy, even in challenging situations.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for effective interaction with colleagues, community partners, and students/trainees.
