**Who we are**: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest physician-owned radiology practices in the country. Our growing practice includes 214 radiologists, 44 advanced practice providers, and over 200 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. We value diversity on our team and promote a culture of inclusion. We provide services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan. ARS is the exclusive radiology provider to West Michigan’s largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health.

**What we are looking for**: We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to be responsible for answering incoming patient and insurance phone calls in regards to patient accounts and processing patient correspondence. They must effectively research, resolve and respond to billing issues accurately and expeditiously and be able to navigate through multiple windows/tabs/screens.

**Responsibilities**:

- Answer incoming patient and insurance company phone calls during hours of business.
- Answer incoming collection account phone calls and respond to messages.
- Submit claims and communicate with insurance companies in regards to patient charges.
- Update patient demographics and insurance information using various research tools.
- Set up patient payment arrangements in accordance with policy.
- Investigate and identify errors on patient accounts; follow the necessary procedures to correct.
- Work with other departments to research and solve account issues.
- Generate phone calls/faxes to patients, doctor’s offices, facilities and insurance companies to assist with claims processing or payment.
- Thoroughly document all phone calls or correspondence regarding patient accounts.
- Communicate and collaborate with collection agencies/attorney.

**Requirements**:

- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- **Must have at least 6 months of experience in customer service, in a medical billing office with knowledge of all aspects of insurance and billing. Experience in a call center environment highly desirable.**:

- Bilingual - English/Spanish is a huge plus
- Great organizational skills and excellent follow through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Ability to work M-F from 8:00am to 4:30pm
- This is a hybrid position (can be remote 1/2 of the week), so must live within 1-hour of Grand Rapids, MI
