**Summary**:Process payments and credits to customers’ accounts based on their remittance/direction. Process non-sufficient funds to customers’ accounts, track, and follow up until collected. Notify customers of all over or short payments and credits on their accounts. Update and track daily deposits consisting of checks, cash, and credit card payments. Responsibilities also include updating and maintaining the collection call database for delinquent accounts.

Essential Functions:

- Prepare and post all incoming checks, cash, and cleared credit card payments. Post all payments to customer accounts according to customer remittance/direction. Run corresponding batch reports.
- Prepare and deliver daily deposits to the bank and obtain company mail.
- Prepare and promptly post customers’ credit memos.
- Process non-sufficient funds notices through tracking, account notifications/adjustments, and follow-up until completion.
- Prepare and send all overpayment and short payment notices and credits to customers daily.
- Process chargebacks for disputed credit card charges.
- Process external credit inquiries.
- Research C.O.D. biweekly tracers/claims to ensure prompt recovery of funds from UPS on claims submitted.
- Assist as needed with bad debt/write-offs.
- Process daily e-check payments for customers.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and abilities:

- Must possess strong organizational skills.
- Must possess proficient data entry skills, including speed and accuracy.
- Must possess proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be able to report to work consistently and on time.
- Must be able to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner, involving a manager if necessary.
- Must be able to work well with others; contribute to a positive work environment; support everyone's efforts to succeed.
- Must meet productivity standards; completing work in timely manner; striving to increase productivity.
- Knows how to use equipment and materials properly.

Minimum qualifications:

- A high school diploma is required. Some college is preferred.
- Prior Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
