CCHCS seeks to fill a Permanent/Full-Time Staff Services Manager II position in the Whole Person Care Program, Nursing Services.
- Under the administrative direction of the Staff Services Manager III (SSM III), the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), supervises a team of approximately six to twelve professional staff within the Whole Person Care Program (WPCP) that is responsible for supporting 35 institutions statewide; establishes priorities; reviews work products; and performs the more difficult, complex, sensitive and detailed tasks. The SSM II works closely with the appropriate staff within the WPCP and in the field to resolve problems and to ensure systems are properly utilized. This position has the possibility of extensive travel with limited notice.

CDCR and CCHCS strive to collaborate with the community to enhance public safety and promote successful community reintegration through education, treatment and active participation in rehabilitative and restorative justice programs. Incumbents establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within the department, other governmental agencies, health care partners, and communities.
- This position is located in the Nursing Services Branch, which provides essential leadership and institutional support advocating positive change to promote quality in the provision of safe, efficient, and competent nursing care in all service line delivery areas, including inpatient, outpatient, specialty care, and TTA/R&R/Reception Center. Additionally, the headquarters Chief Nurse Executives provide statewide program guidance to nursing service lines at all 35 institutions and support nursing practice through the assessment of processes, policies and procedures, protocols, clinical decision support tools, nursing curriculum and competencies, and the deployment of nursing resources to assist and support the goal of continuous quality improvement.
