About the Role

The Department of Health Care Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Services Manager II to join our Behavioral Health Grants Section. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing personnel, planning, organizing, and overseeing funding and programs related to the State's Naloxone Distribution Project, medication assisted treatment expansion projects, and the CalHOPE Crisis Counseling and Assistance Training Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise two units: Contracts and Policy Unit and Disaster Response Unit
  • Interface with other state departments, federal agencies, provider organizations, and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve program goals and objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
Requirements
