As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies and Georgia Medicaid. Your expertise in medical coding systems and knowledge of medical terminology will be essential in this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services
- Ensure compliance with all coding guidelines and regulations, including ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems
- Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving any billing discrepancies or issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and billing information
- Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure accurate documentation of services rendered
- Provide support in the resolution of billing inquiries or disputes

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Medical Biller for a therapy practice (Speech, Occupational, Physical and ABA therapy)
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10) and medical terminology
- Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health record ClinicSource systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients
- Proficient in correctly retaining prior authorization (PA's) from private health insurance and Georgia Medicaid

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
