**Venue Coordinator**

Responsible for ensuring delivery of all contracted events through communication with customers and internal departments. Responsible for coordinating contracted food, beverage, av, and guestrooms a team of four venue coordinators. Events include weddings, social events, and corporate meetings and events.

Work directly with couples, key contacts, vendors to execute event at the Hotel. Work directly with meeting planners and other representatives to execute meetings and events in the Hotel. Manage all hotel-specific event details and communicate those details to the Hotel operations team.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Internal communication via banquet event orders, event resumes and other accepted means of communication.
- Attend internal meetings as required.
- Create and circulate banquet event orders, guestroom block resumes, floor diagrams, and vendor information.
- Maintain an event checklist and maintain customer relationship.
- Attendance at events to greet the contact, ensure appropriate room set ups.

**Required Qualifications**:

- At least one year of conference center venue coordination, wedding venue planning or similar hospitality experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in attention to details and project management.
- Ability to type at least 40 wpm pace and to pass typing test.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Writing samples required.
- Problem solving skills and the ability to determine a course of action based on guidelines and customer service savvy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Minimum formal education of high school diploma.
- Ability and willingness to pass a drug screening test.
- Two current references (within last 5 years) required.

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience as a wedding or conference planner at an upper upscale or luxury hotel.
- Experience with Delphi or other event management system, Social Tables and/or Meeting Matrix, working knowledge of Opera or other property management system.
- Familiarity with hotel sales teams and hotel operations.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
