Pennybyrn has an opportunity for an MDS Coordinator to join our innovative, inclusive, and compassionate life-enriching community We are a non-profit Retirement community located in High Point, NC, whom embraces a faith-based mission to deliver compassionate care and excellence in service.

The MDS Coordinator will join the Transitional Rehab team on Pennybyrn's campus. The Rehab center is a 24-bed facility for Senior Adults with short-stay needs. The environment is fast-paced with an ever-changing flow of admissions and discharges. The MDS Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the process of Minimum Data Set requirements, reimbursements, assessments, and care plans. This position is also responsible for coordinating and ensuring accuracy of team data collection; reviewing, verifying, auditing, correcting, and completing the MDS process; and assuring procedures meet regulatory requirements and timelines.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Current, unencumbered license as a Nurse in North Carolina or a Compact state.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience and thorough, working knowledge of RAI process, PDPM, and State Case Mix Time weighted reimbursement payment system

  • Long-term care or Rehab experience most preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, and work effectively with the Interdisciplinary team, patients, and families

  • Productive and efficient ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative, and make independent decisions

  • Excellent customer service

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet consistent deadlines

  • Strong organization with attention to detail and accuracy

  • High level of professionalism and integrity

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet HIPAA privacy laws
