Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities: As an Inventory & Purchasing Control Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting the inventory cycle counts, participating in the physical inventories, and coordinating the purchase order movements. You will be responsible for optimizing the procurement process to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency. You will collaborate closely with various departments including Inventory Control and Finance to ensure seamless operations. - Conducting Inventory Cycle Counts - Meeting supply chain objectives. - Managing inventory and filing systems. - Performing complete inventory checks for all stock. - Assessing and improving flows of supplies through the company. - Ensuring all documentation related to inventory flows are completed, accurate, and filed correctly. - Identifying, analyzing, and addressing gaps in inventory processes. - Continuously evaluate vendor performance and explore new supplier partnerships to drive improvements. - Identify any inventory discrepancies. - Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to secure the best deals and maintain cost efficiency. - Generate purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries. Required Skills / Abilities: - Inventory Cycle Counting - Proficiency with basic Microsoft programs - Inventory control and data entry. - Keen attention to detail with excellent time-management skills. - Exceptional organizational, communication, math, and analytical skills. - Experience with ERP systems for inventory management and procurement. Education and Experience Requirements: - A high school diploma or equivalent - 3+ years of inventory/purchasing focused experience - Organized - Self-directed - Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills - Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
