Job Summary

The WebstaurantStore is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at our state-of-the-art distribution center in Tennessee. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts, responding to customer inquiries, and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and system data integrity
  • Operate stock picker equipment to complete cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
  • Manage overstock bin locations to ensure accurate inventory tracking
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, adjusting inventory in company systems as needed
  • Complete periodic tasks, including internal transfers, serial number coordination, and report generation
  • Maintain high system accuracy and identify areas for process improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment, with receiving and/or inventory experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with a desire to exceed expectations
  • Ability to work at elevations of up to feet

Physical Demands

  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including hours/day
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
  • Requires regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
  • Requires ability to regularly lift/carry -lbs. and push/pull up to lbs.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
